I have not been in to Cliff Gilker Park for a very long time. But yesterday it was too much to bear when Jenny and Sammie were heading out for a run. I had to go up there with them.
They day was spectacular, brilliant blue sky, cool sweet air. I packed my Carnet de Voyage and my travel paints, gathered my camera and off we all went. While they ran the trails, I spent a fabulous two hours about 50 feet into the forest (hey, it was way better than nothing and I’ll gladly take it!) and thanks to the Rotary Club I had a solid rustic bench and platform to work from. It was right next to the bridge and the splashing falls, noisy and moist and very lush with ferns and moss.
