I am compelled to pick up the little bits when I see them poking through the sand.. they look like mosaic tiles..
It is by allowing the remains of the past (fragments) to permeate the present, that we turn mourning (of ruins, bodies, ideals, nations) into a productive and creative enterprise that can open future possibilities…
I see the fragment as perfect in its own right, never to be re-assembled, but to carry on a unique thought or colour or touch…
