I am a bit fussy about my coffee. OK, very fussy – I’m not proud of it, but a bad coffee can put me into a snitful cranky mood (which makes any road trip a challenge). Yes, it is my mood altering, inspiration kicking, delicious drug of choice. So when I discovered Strait Traders 15 years ago, I knew I could make the move to the Sunshine Coast. I had known for some time that Vancouver was too stressful for me to enjoy any more, I didn’t have the energy to keep up. But living at the corner of Starbucks and Starbucks had spoiled me, and everything depended upon the brown gold. I had been wandering, looking, and taste-testing, had even narrowed it down – would I go up the Fraser Canyon, or across to Gibsons and beyond? Well, thanks to perfect crema, small town Interior BC lost out… and I don’t regret it for a nano-second.
Still one of my favourite places to dream away an hour or so… in fact, I think I need Second Coffee right now.
I am super happy you made that decision, I will be forever grateful for good coffee!

Nice one!
Thanks for your comment, too. Glad it seemed to work as a reflection. Still nerve-wracking every day.
What are you up to this weekend? The damp is making me ache a bit.
I’ll call you manana xo

Ha – if it is not at least a bit nerve-wracking, it is not worth it!
