Kim owns a Heron skull which I covet. I have scanned it, drawn it, and painted it… such a bizarre and beautiful object. She also owns the red painting, which I borrowed to display and photograph.

The feathers I have been lucky enough to find. The black/white ones were just lying in the grass at the end of my road. I had to go further to find the gray feather, it was at the side of a quiet waterfront cul-de-sac, Halfmoon Bay, I think. I really like them. A good meandering day, that was.
And this Heron, he stands alone at Davis Bay.
