I remember watching black bears on the beach in Haida Gwaii. I was safe in a boat, they were rolling big rocks over and licking up the scrambling little shore crabs. Must be like a bag of chips for a bear. Easy snack.
Here in Roberts Creek, I have enlisted my friends to collect crab shells for me. Luckily our Creek bears don’t seem to go crabbing. Too busy eating the apples from my backyard tree.
