The original tattered butterfly was a gift from a friend, more than a couple of years ago. “Hey, I found this on the front of my car.. thought I would save it for you.”
My friends know me well.
At last….here it is…tattered and sad but beautiful still. Seems you have treasured this for some time!
Yes.. I have a lovely broken moth I will draw sometime too… my little Cabinet of Broken Curiosities. xo
ohhhh sheryl…It looks like this butterfly could just lift off the page and take flight!! You have given it the grace it deserves!! xoxox My week is getting cramped…perhaps we will meet when i return! May the coming light of solstice inspire you!!! I love you and miss our art days….STupid work! xoxj
Keep an eye out for Interesting Things! We will catch up when you can catch your breath!! xox
Outstanding! What a beautiful creature.
Thank you, said-simply! Honestly, I don’t usually work this tightly, and I felt a sweat!!
Worth it, though..
I would definitely say that the end result bears that out!
You are so crazy talented! Broken but still so lovely and perfect. Aren’t we all?
All a state of mind – pieces are beautiful! xo
Tattered but still so full of color and energy. You are great, Sheryl
Thank you, Kasia! I am interested to push it into near abstract, but not quite – some super close ups and colour crops. The Broken Things are such excellent fodder for sketchbooks !
